We’re seeking a Lead Product Designer to lead our design team and drive the development of user-centric products through systems thinking , cross-persona design , and design leadership .

You will lead design initiatives that unify the Shopper, Seller, and Admin experiences, guiding users through onboarding, discovery, and selling with clarity and delight. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, data, marketing, and business development teams to turn complex business goals into intuitive, scalable solutions that drive measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Leadership:
    • Lead end-to-end design for high-impact features.
    • Present and defend design decisions and prototypes to senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Foster a collaborative and creative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Mentor junior and intermediate product and graphic designers.
  2. User-Centered Design:
    • Conduct and synthesize user research, including user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and analytics insights, to inform design decisions based on user needs and behaviors.
    • Develop user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
    • Stay current with trends in live commerce, and integrate new and effective design strategies to keep the platform engaging and competitive.
  3. Systems Thinking & Design Systems
    • Own and evolve TalkShopLive’s design system, ensuring scalability, accessibility, and visual cohesion across all surfaces.
    • Partner with engineering to improve component governance, documentation, and design-token usage.
    • Translate complex platform behaviors into clear, modular design frameworks that streamline product development.
  4. Visual Design:
    • Create visually stunning and cohesive designs that align with our brand identity and enhance the overall user experience.
    • Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI components to ensure consistency across all products.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with product managers to understand product requirements and translate them into actionable design solutions.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation of designs and provide necessary design assets.
    • Collaborate with marketing, brand, and content teams to maintain consistency across all touchpoints.
  6. Strategic Thinking:
    • Contribute to the overall product strategy by providing design insights and recommendations based on user research and industry trends.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the organization.
  7. Performance Metrics:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of design initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
    • Use data-driven insights to iterate on designs and optimize the user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with at least +2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate product designers.
  • Expertise in Figma and hands-on experience with design systems, component libraries, and token management.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform design decisions.
  • Experience in live commerce, e-commerce, video streaming, or related industries is a big plus.
