Job Description Job Description 6 Degrees Group is searching for Staff Accountant for a client of ours in the Northern Atlanta area. Role will provide financial information and analysis, ensuring compliance with policies and accounting principles. Responsibilities: Prepare various journal entries, including WIP accrual, intercompany, and month-end entries. Manage cash deposits and receipts, including voiding checks as needed. Reconcile Controlled Disbursement account for multiple divisions. Issue customer refund checks and record entries for forfeiture income. Distribute Sales Commission statements and retain audit documents for closed homes. Run and reconcile month-end reports, maintaining accurate accounting records. Fulfill audit requests and perform other assigned duties. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance preferred. 1-2 years of professional accounting experience. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and cost accounting. High computer literacy, including intermediate Excel skills. Ability to meet deadlines in stressful situations. Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
