Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed School Social Worker is needed for a temporary leave contract in Grand Rapids, MI, serving one middle school site. This full-time role runs from September 3 to October 13, with a caseload of approximately 30 students navigating middle school challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services addressing students' emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop intervention plans.
• Conduct assessments and facilitate group or individual counseling sessions.
• Assist with crisis intervention and connect families to community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential caseload records in compliance with school policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold current Michigan School Social Worker certification (310 Certification) and active licensing through LARA.
• Experience working with middle school-aged children in a school environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, staff, and families.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of around 30 students.
• Flexibility to adapt to a leave position and possibly provide virtual services if onsite candidates are unavailable.
