JUNIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER, WALL ART DEVELOPMENT & DESIGN - FRAMED ART, WALL DÉCOR & HOME FURNISHING

JOB SUMMARY:

· Los Angeles-based Wall Décor company is in search of a JUNIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER, WALL ART DEVELOPMENT & DESIGN (FRAMED ART, WALL DÉCOR, PHOTO FRAMES & HOME FURNISHING)

· To assist in the design and development of Home Decor product for mass market accounts & private label by initiating and executing new, interesting, innovative product builds

· This is a great entry level position for anyone looking to learn and grow within the company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work closely with Sales, Account Director & Senior Designers to determine product lines for each account

· Actively participate in the brainstorming processes, bringing customer appropriate new ideas to the development process.

· Communicate directly and in-house sample team to develop new product concepts and request samples

· Prepare Bills of Materials to communicate detailed product specifications and builds thoroughly and effectively

· Work with Senior Designers and be responsible for specific product development tasks as assigned.

· Set up and mange photo frame face paper library and update boms with correct face paper requirements.

· Prepare art direction and communicate this direction to art teams

· Work closely with multiple departments in order to get design projects completed on time

· Manage and fill out customer product spec & set up sheets.

· Assist in showroom set up / sending out samples to customers

· Aid in preparing product presentations & meeting recaps for Sales Team.

· Keep up to date on industry trends and market activity

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Candidates must be capable of managing multiple projects at once with tight deadlines in an extremely fast paced work environment.

· Prior experience in picture framing, interior design, or home décor is a huge plus.

· Must be a motivated self-starter

· Must be able to work both autonomously or in a team setting

· Proficient in Office Programs (Word, Excel, MS Outlook and etc.)

· Must have Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
