Event Staff - Sporting, Festival Events in Phoenix, AZ - $16/hr.

About the Role

Join our team as part of the Event Staff and help create a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for all guests! We’re looking for reliable, customer-focused individuals to assist at sporting events, concerts, festivals, and other major gatherings across the Phoenix Metro area. This is a part-time, seasonal position with flexible scheduling based on event needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests entering and exiting events with professionalism and courtesy.
• Verify tickets, wristbands, and credentials to ensure proper access to events and restricted areas.
• Conduct bag checks and operate walkthrough or handheld metal detectors in accordance with established screening procedures.
• Enforce event and venue policies to maintain a safe environment and prevent prohibited items from entering the venue.
• Provide information, directions, and support to guests to enhance their event experience.
• Monitor crowd activity, respond to incidents or disturbances, and complete accurate incident reports as needed.
• Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and venue command to report any safety or policy concerns.
• Follow all venue- and event-specific policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to use good judgment and discretion while enforcing policies and handling sensitive situations.
• Capable of maintaining accurate documentation and completing incident reports.
• Remains calm and professional when responding to emergencies or high-pressure situations.
