Build Your Career With Ashley \nThe Industrial Maintenance Technician (Electromechanical Technician) is a critical technical role responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, production efficiency, and operational safety through expert troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of complex electromechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires a skilled technician who can diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automated control system issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing excellence.\n Key Responsibilities: \n Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair \n
\n - \nTroubleshoot, diagnose, test, and repair complex electronic production equipment including PLCs, motor controls, sensors, drives, and automated machinery\n
\n - \nPerform electrical and mechanical repairs on manufacturing equipment to maintain optimal process performance and minimize downtime\n
\n - \nRespond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies quickly and efficiently to restore production operations\n
\n - \nUtilize diagnostic tools (multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, thermal imaging cameras, vibration analyzers) to identify root causes of equipment failures\n
\n - \nRead and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, ladder logic, and equipment manuals\n
\n - \nTroubleshoot and repair 480V, 240V, and 120V electrical systems, including three-phase power distribution\n
\n - \nDiagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including valves, cylinders, pumps, and actuators\n
\n - \nReplace defective components including motors, bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, sensors, relays, contactors, and circuit boards\n

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance \n
\n - \nExecute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on production equipment according to manufacturer specifications and plant standards\n
\n - \nPerform predictive maintenance (PdM) activities including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil analysis\n
\n - \nLubricate equipment, inspect for wear, and adjust machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity\n
\n - \nMaintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)\n
\n - \nIdentify and report potential equipment failures before they occur through proactive condition monitoring\n
\n - \nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing equipment modifications to improve reliability\n
\n
\n
Electromechanical Systems Support \n
\n - \nDevelop and maintain a thorough understanding of all electromechanical control systems in the factory, including PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and robotic controls\n
\n - \nWork collaboratively with maintenance supervisors, engineers, and operations teams to install, commission, and evaluate new electromechanical systems\n
\n - \nSupport the manufacturing process by ensuring all automated systems, conveyors, robotic cells, and material handling equipment operate efficiently\n
\n - \nAssist engineering teams with equipment upgrades, retrofits, and capital improvement projects\n
\n - \nProgram and troubleshoot PLC logic, HMI screens, and motion control systems as needed\n
\n - \nCalibrate sensors, instruments, and control devices to maintain process accuracy and quality standards\n
\n

Safety & Compliance \n
\n - \nFollow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and PPE requirements to ensure personal and team safety\n
\n - \nComply with OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E electrical safety standards, and company safety policies\n
\n - \nConduct safety inspections on equipment before and after repairs to ensure safe operation\n
\n - \nParticipate in safety training, toolbox talks, and incident investigations\n
\n - \nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with 5S standards\n
\n - \nReport safety hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately to supervision\n
\n

Continuous Improvement & Problem-Solving \n
\n - \nIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance production efficiency\n
\n - \nRecommend and implement modifications to equipment, processes, or maintenance practices to prevent recurring failures\n
\n - \nSupport Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives\n
\n - \nStay current with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and equipment advancements\n
\n - \nComplete assigned training on new equipment, safety procedures, and technical skills\n
\n
\n
Qualifications: \n
Education \n
\n - \nHigh school diploma or GED required\n
\n - \nAssociate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, or related field preferred\n
\n - \nCompletion of an accredited apprenticeship program (electrical, industrial maintenance, or mechatronics) highly preferred\n
\n
\n
Experience \n
\n - \nMinimum 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or production environment\n
\n - \nExperience troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical systems, PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and automated equipment\n
\n - \nExperience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs\n
\n - \nFurniture manufacturing, woodworking, metalworking, or similar production environment experience preferred but not required\n
