We are looking for a motivated an experienced Chemical Process Engineer to support complex projects within the battery, solar and semiconductor manufacturing industries using creative problem solving and sound engineering practices.

Responsibilities:
ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE
- Performing professional and detailed process engineering designs and solutions in support of our clients’ complex environments.
- Establishing, implementing, and expanding a selection of new and innovative concepts and approaches to solve complex challenges.
- Developing process flow diagrams (PFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and system layout plans.
- Performing process equipment sizing and selection, and developing associated specifications.
- Developing process system start-up and commissioning documentation.
- Applying engineering fundamentals to execute process design from conceptual design and criteria development into completed systems and construction drawings and documents.
- Providing engineering support during construction.
- Performing a variety of engineering assignments under the direction of your supervisor—with increasing responsibility based on performance—and consulting your supervisor to screen assignments for unusual or difficult problems and select appropriate methods and techniques to apply.
- Defining, developing, and delivering structured engineering approaches through continuous process improvement, adherence to best practices, and standardized approaches.
COORDINATION & COLLABORATION
- Providing technical leadership, guidance, and support to project engineering staff without the need to assume responsibility for the direction of others.
- Contributing to business development, proposal, and pursuit efforts as well as the provision of technical consulting services to clients.
- Interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines, project management, system owners, vendors, and contractors via phone, email, and meetings (both live and virtual).
- Nurturing and promoting inter-discipline, inter-department, and inter-office cooperation and collaboration while supporting and participating in initiatives to optimize and improve work and staff sharing processes by participating in multidisciplinary strategy sessions.
- Participating in civic, discipline-specific, and professional activities / associations.
Qualifications You’ll Need on Day One:
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
- An active Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred.
- 10+ years relevant experience, including chemical process systems and P&ID development expertise.
- Experience in the battery, solar or semiconductor manufacturing industry required.
- Knowledge of and experience with hydraulic concepts, modeling, and influences on system design.
- Knowledge of design for fluid flow, heat exchange, and friction loss in piping systems.
- A background in designing ultrapure / high-purity water, specialty gas, solvent / acid storage, distribution, and hazardous wastewater collection and/or treatment systems; or related systems.
- Experience with hazardous gas and chemical handling and familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while reacting to shifting priorities to meet business objectives and deadlines.
- Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
