- Monday-Thursday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
- Friday-Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Must be open to 2 evening shifts per week (1:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
Job Description The
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities: - Conduct psychiatric evaluations, establish diagnoses, and complete crisis assessments.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) and long-acting injectables.
- Partner with therapists, supervisors, and medical staff to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Contribute to case conferences and clinical initiatives (depression, PTSD, suicidal ideation, tobacco cessation).
- Maintain accurate documentation in CareLogic EHR, meeting OMH and agency standards.
- Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based psychiatric care in alignment with community mental health needs.
Qualifications Must Have: - Master's Degree + Board Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Active NYS NP and RN licenses in Psychiatry.
- Authorized to prescribe Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
- Bilingual Spanish (required).
Preferred: - Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- 5+ years of clinical experience in outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health.
- Knowledge of OMH Part 599 regulations.
- Experience in trauma-informed care, telepsychiatry, and underserved populations.
Soft Skills: - Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Empathetic, culturally competent, and patient-centered.
- Organized and reliable in managing complex caseloads.
