Primary Purpose: The Art Model provides in classroom modeling for drawing, painting, sculpture and or other art-related classes. Modeling is primarily unclothed for a specific length of time with periodic breaks, as directed by the class instructor. Serve as classroom model to aid instructors in teaching human proportions, body alignments, anatomy and structure.
Work is performed during regular classroom hours and in a classroom setting. Model may be standing or sitting for extended periods of time. This position requires a person with a very flexible schedule as hours vary daily depending on needs of accommodating classes and community members into the lab. To meet these lab demands, it may require recurring late/early hours. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting may occur. Must be able to climb or pull self-upward as needed. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
